Unlock Biz Growth Through Tiny Experiments

Hey, Reader!

Last week, I quoted for a branding project—and didn’t get it.
They said I was too expensive.

Now, a few years ago, I might’ve spiralled into self-doubt. But instead, I paused and asked myself: What can I learn here?

Maybe I should’ve asked about their budget upfront. Maybe I didn’t communicate the depth of value that comes with 25 years of experience.

Either way, this wasn’t a failure—it was data.

If you’ve ever been to one of my workshops, you’ll know I’m a big fan of tiny experiments—small, strategic actions that teach us fast.

They don’t have to be perfect. In fact, they shouldn’t be.
They just need to move us forward.

So imagine how thrilled I was when Anne-Laure Le Cunff released her new book, Tiny Experiments. It felt like she put language to something I’ve been living for years—both in business and on the mat.

Whether you're refining your offers, rebuilding your confidence, or figuring out what lights you up post-burnout, tiny experiments help you find clarity through action.

This season, I’m bringing this mindset into everything—especially how I nurture my audience.

Which brings me to this week’s 3-2-1…

3 steps to implement tiny experiments

  • Start with Curiosity
Identify areas in your life where you feel uncertain or wish to grow. Frame these as questions or hypotheses. For example, "What if I dedicated 10 minutes daily to mindfulness?"
  • Design Your Experiment
Choose a simple action related to your curiosity. Commit to it for a set period, like a week or a month. Document your findings each day. This approach allows you to gather insights without overwhelming yourself.
  • Reflect and Iterate
After your experiment, assess the outcomes. Did it bring the desired change? What did you learn? Use these insights to refine your approach or embark on new experiments.

So, for example, I’ve been meditating every morning since the start of the year. I’ve missed a few days. The time spans anywhere from 5-20 minutes. What I’ve learned is that on the days I missed my morning meditation, I had less clarity, was more easily distracted and overwhelmed.

The insight?

I need morning meditation EVERYDAY to start my day off with clarity and calm.

Hit reply and let me know what experiment you’re going to try and the outcomes you’ve achieved. I’d love to know!

2 things i’m loving

Tiny Experiments by Anne-Laure Le Cunff

This book is all about using small, low-risk experiments to create big shifts in your life. Instead of forcing massive change overnight, Anne-Laure shows how to turn curiosity into action in a way that is sustainable and personal. Check out the book

Breath of Stillness
I’ve been exploring simple ways to lean into the small things that help me feel human and help me ground during these wild times that we’re all experiencing in the world.

It’s a gentle way to root yourself in presence:

• Stand or be seated with the spine upright.

• Draw air deep into your being.

• Inhale for 4 counts, inviting calm.

• Hold for 7 counts, savoring the pause.

• Exhale for 8 counts, releasing what no longer serves.

• Repeat until you feel the earth steady beneath you.
