Hey, Reader! The UK has actually produced proper summer weather this week. I know! I'm as shocked as you are! 🥵 I've been outside every spare moment I've had with my hands in soil, completely in my element, repotting the sunflowers I've been growing from seeds into their own individual pots. I grew them from nothing. And just a few weeks later, they're ready. So I've been lining them up and sending them off to friends and neighbours. Letting my babies go out into the world and grow. Whilst potting, I kept thinking... this is exactly what I spend my working life helping women do. Not the sunflowers specifically. The part where you've been quietly growing something extraordinary for years, poured your whole self into it, and then try to hand it to the world and suddenly don't quite know how to explain what it is. That's the thread I want to pull on this week. 3 ideasWhat nobody tells you about positioning your product or service when you have layered experience. 01. You don't have a niche problem. You have a thread problem. Most of the women I work with have been told the same thing: narrow down, pick one thing, choose your lane. And every time they try, something tightens in their chest. Not because they're unfocused. Because the advice was never designed for someone who's spent decades becoming genuinely excellent at multiple things. 02. The real reason your positioning feels impossible, and it's not what you think. Here's what I keep watching happen: a woman with 20+ years of experience, real expertise, and genuine results, posts content that quietly disappears. Not because her content is bad. Because she's been taught to lead with her method instead of her thread. The difference between the two is subtle. It's also everything. 03. Your layered experience isn't the problem. It was never the problem. Every woman who's come to me stuck on 'I don't know what to say' has treated her varied background like a liability, like it doesn't count or she needs to simplify before she's allowed to show up fully. It's exactly why I’ve created The ROOT Framework, a simple, spacious, AI-guided conversation that gets right to the root of your story-telling problem, and it’s free. This chat helps you:
To help you tell the story that’s uniquely yours. “ROOT grounded me in my business in the best way. I’d been waffling and overthinking for way too long, and this process cut right through the noise. Being able to reflect and lay everything out gave me a clarity I didn’t expect — my mission, my approach, all of it suddenly made sense. I was honestly blown away that something so simple could be so effective. I walked away with a clear vision and the confidence to actually move forward with it.” Set aside a couple of hours, or do a little bit each day. → EXPLORE THE ROOT FRAMEWORK → 2 loves
