Slow down to speed up: 3 ways I’m rebalancing

Hey, Reader!

Last night’s Capricorn Full Moon was intense—and if you’re still feeling all the feels today, you’re not alone.

I am too.

Full moons bring oppositions. It’s why emotions can run high, boundaries get tested, and energy spikes—or crashes.

This week?

My emotions were up and down, my inbox was overflowing, boundaries were being nudged, and my perimenopausal body was asking for deep rest.

Right now, I’m on Day 11 of a 14-day self-care experiment:

🌿 20-minute morning dog walk
🧘‍♀️ 20 minutes of yoga
🧘 10-minute meditation

…all before I open my laptop and begin my day.

I’ve been jotting down notes in a little field notebook, and you can follow along here.

Back to the moon…

This Full Moon in Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) invites us to look at responsibility, structure, and boundaries. It’s a time to reflect on where you’ve taken too much responsibility… or not enough.

The Sun is in Cancer, which is ruled by the Moon, so it’s an especially emotionally heightened time. It highlights home, emotional needs, and self-care. It asks: Where are you over-giving? Where do you need softness or support?

It’s a powerful moment to release what’s draining you—and gently commit to what really matters.

Here’s how to work with that energy in your business this weekend. ⤵️

🌕 3 lunar practices for business growth

Ever start something with a burst of energy, only to lose steam—or try to do all the things and burn out?

You, too? 🙋‍♀️

Try these 3 grounding practices to clear space and move forward with more ease:

1️⃣ Run a responsibility audit
Capricorn energy asks: What are you over-carrying—or avoiding?

→ Make a list of all your current commitments (offers, collabs, unpaid favours).
→ Tag each one: energising / neutral / draining
→ Choose one draining thing to release or renegotiate during this waning moon phase.

2️⃣ Pair emotional release with a boundary reset
Cancer feelings are loud; Capricorn wants action.

→ Journal on:
• Where am I over-giving?
• What am I avoiding or numbing?
→ Then move or breathe for 10 minutes.
→ Write one boundary to implement this week (office hours, payment terms, “reply by” policy).

3️⃣ Plant one seed—slowly
Pick one project that genuinely excites you.

→ Take the first tiny step within 48 hours
→ Tend to it for 30 days
→ Revisit in 90 days and see what’s taken root

Let this be your reminder: business growth doesn’t have to be rushed. Slow is sustainable.
