I ❤️ your newsletters!

Hey, Reader!

Last week, I got a message from a student in my Post Like a Pro course. She needed help resetting her password, so I popped into the backend, sent her a new link, and off she went.

She replied:
“It works perfectly, thank you Louise 🙏🏻
And just to let you know I love your newsletters ❤️”

💌 That last bit? It made my day.
Because honestly, it’s easy to feel like you’re sending emails into the void.

We all get busy. We mean to reply. We think “I’ll get back to it.”
But we rarely do.

That quick little note reminded me why email is still the most personal, powerful, and underutilised tool for growing a business that’s built on trust and real connection.

So this week, I want to share 3 simple ways to improve your own newsletter (you are sending out newsletters, right? 😘)—and a free tool to help you gather testimonials (aka golden social proof) that does the selling for you.

3 easy wins to improve your newsletter this week

✨ The 4-Hour Follow-Up Trick
Got a lead magnet (or freebie?) Don’t leave your new subscriber hanging.
Send a follow-up email 4 hours later with:
Just checking you got the download—and quick question: What’s the ONE thing you hope this helps with?
This sparks engagement, builds trust, and opens conversation (as well as increasing your open rates.)

Add a “Share With a Friend” Link
Referrals are magic—but people need prompts.
Include a one-click email link that says:
Know someone who’d love this? Share it with them here.
Keep it short, simple, and effortless.

Social Proof Stacking
Social proof works because it reduces friction - Emotional buyers are swayed by peer testimonials. Logical types want to see volume. The more you have the more momentum gets built. Keep asking for testimonials: Add a line to your emails, DMs, or at the end of your retreats, workshops, courses – Make it effortless for happy students to say something nice.
